Transportable, Modular Create Remote House in Chile

Modular housing units are gaining more and more popularity, and for good reason. They’re easy to transport, inexpensive, and make for amazing homes. Felipe Assadi envisioned Remote House, a prototype project for both transportable and high-quality living.

This lovely home is located in Región de Valparaíso, Chile and was entirely built in the city in 45 days, moved in four hours, and installed in six. With a total surface of 80 square meters, the module accommodates three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pantry with a washing machine, a central living space, dining room and kitchen.

According to the project developers, “the structure is made of iron and designed with pine wood in exteriors, interiors, walls, flooring and ceiling. In the final project, the client will be able to configure his own house based on different module alternatives via web, in a system that allows connections between such modules without further instructions than adding now, or in the future, the required enclosures”. All facilities are ready-made and installed on site, once the modules are set. From our end, this type of homes look extremely efficient. How do you find them?  [Photography by Fernando Alda]
