We love how this family home in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, revives rustic details and delivers sophistication throughout. Swann Wynd Bridge Residence was completed by Washington-based National Association of Home Builders and has a total area of 2,475 square feet.
This lovely house design was inspired by the English countryside but crafted with local materials. Its location? In a dense forest setting, neighboring a peaceful water stream. “An attached footbridge crosses the creek and, together with the house, anchors a pedestrian, cobblestone road lined with houses that is inspired by the character of English hamlets in the Cotswolds,” the project developers said.
As you step inside, you’re greeted by an impressive living room area with vaulted ceilings and numerous large windows. The designers played with eye-catching decorating details, subtly blended in the classical, charming background.
The stairs take you to the bedrooms, which are naturally illuminated thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. One of the highlights of the property is a welcoming backyard, perfect for friendly gatherings, as well as for moments of solitude. Photography by Emily Jenkins Followill
