In Kyiv, Ukraine, our first elegantly modern 100 square metre home interior is an apartment that was designed for a young couple. The homeowners spend a lot of time travelling for business, so they wanted their home to be all of the comfort and ease that they lack on these trips–an “air castle”. Natural wood furniture, rattan round coffee tables and natural flax textiles make up an earthy decor palette. Living plants add enlivening layers.

Partitions have been kept to a minimum in the space to ensure easy flow of living and light. A chic white textured rug pulls the elements of the lounge together in the open plan.

Behind the lounge area, an elegantly sculpted dining room pendant light swops over the eating area.

A pair of oversized glass vases make a charming chunky centrepiece on the modern wood dining table. Smoky grey seat cushions punctuate light cane dining chairs.

To the side of the dining area, a turntable nests on a sleek wooden console table design. The interesting lamp that’s holding up the vinyl collection is the Flos Gatto lamp.

To the opposite side of the dining room, a one wall kitchen builds a face of terrazzo texture. A white and wood kitchen island stretches out in front, under a contemporary island light.

A well stocked modern fruit bowl accessories the end of the pure white kitchen countertop.

Pure white kitchen stools contrast against the warm wood kitchen island. The black frame of the kitchen pendant lights creates a brief colour link with the room’s modern black window frames.

Wooden cutting boards are propped decoratively against the white terrazzo kitchen backsplash.

A decorative basket wall marks the end of the kitchen run, and creates an engaging focal point from the home entryway down the hall.

The cozy bedroom scheme is formed with tactile elements and cloud white furniture. An end of bed bench blends into the white bed base, with each lifted on Scandinavian style timber legs.

Rustic small side tables, lanterns and succulents make cosy clusters at either side of the bed, beneath minimalistic black bedroom pendant lights.

Tan accent pillows warm up the white platform bed and matching crisp bed set. Macramé tassels trim a decorative wall mirror, giving the fresh space a relaxed boho vibe.

A stylish lounge chair takes the tan accent to the window area, where dried pampas grass lolls in a tall glass vase.

On the other side of the bedroom’s curtain room divider, a modern vanity table and matching vanity chair make up an elegant makeup station.

A contemporary sputnik chandelier lights up the vanity mirror, which is neatly integrated into the makeup table.

Porcelain tiles surround a wonderfully rustic yet modern double sink bathroom vanity, which is accessorised with rattan baskets in the storage nook underneath. Simple spherical bathroom vanity lights join the glow of backlit racetrack vanity mirrors.

A woven mat makes a beautiful textural link with the rattan baskets, and lays down an eye-catching approach to a round Japanese soaking bathtub.

Interior doors in this home cut all the way to the ceiling, creating one clean, uninterrupted line.

Staying in Kyiv, Ukraine, we move on into a 100 square metre home with a curvaceous modular sofa.

An enormous wall mirror opens up the home entryway. Decorative wall hooks utilise the remaining wall space above a slimline entryway bench.

A round pedestal dining table is positioned to make the most of the room’s natural light by the window, whilst the TV lounge utilises a suitably shady spot at the back of the room.

An exquisite dining room chandelier places a grand crest upon the modern arrangement.

Unique dining chairs encircle the round table, which includes a useful lazy susan server at its centre.

Twin glass pocket doors open up the kitchen, entering the room at either side of a central kitchen island.
