Luxury Kids’ Rooms

Luxury decor inspiration can be found in spades when it comes to sophisticated master bedrooms, spa style bathrooms and regal reception rooms, but what about when it comes to making a space fit for a young princess or prince? Luxury kids’ rooms are a special niche but we’ve put together a detailed selection of five amazing kids spaces. These high-end interiors include fabulous bedrooms with dedicated study zones/art desks, plus kids’ ensuite bathrooms that have bags of style mixed with a cool young vibe. Colour schemes of blush with monochrome, blue teamed with chestnut, pale grey spiked with lime green, and sweet pink neutralised by a smooth taupe.

Blush tones soften the bold contrast of the busy black and white backdrop here. Sections of plain white wall and built in cabinets break up the scheme. The desk is also a solid white, though it’s backed by wood tone to neatly tie in with the ceiling treatment. A chrome designer table lamp adds a little sheen to the work area. This lamp is the iconic AJ Lamp by Arne Jacobsen.

Floor tiles are streaked in a black vein and monochrome houndstooth covers cushions but it’s the subtle understated pink hue that grabs attention.

A grey deep pile area rug acts as a transition between the colours of the room, pulling the scheme together. It also provides a plush warm path on which to pad barefoot around the bed.

The muted pink sections over the padded headboard and bespoke storage solutions are complemented by a large area of light warm wood tone panelling across a sloping ceiling, almost like a canopy. Circular lights of varying sizes have been mounted to the ceiling in a cosmic effect.

The desk has been worked into a bespoke storage system with integrated shelves. This is teamed with a stylish desk chair to provide a comfortable place to complete studies, or arts and crafts.

The wall opposite the bed harbours two main doors and a bank of built-in storage that are all camouflaged by stripes of colour that match wall paintwork.

In the ensuite bathroom the blush and monochrome colour story continues. The busy tiles filling the shower area make it look like a Jackson Pollock painting. A flash of green is added over in the decorative plant stands.

A black faucet is mounted directly into the mirror behind the basin.

The bathtub has a matching black freestanding tap.

A small side table by the tub matches the faucet.

An array of lotions and potions can be stashed by the basin in this built-in shelving unit.

A relaxing view over private grounds can be enjoyed from a bubble bath.

A small grey stool by the vanity makes this into a dressing table too.

Our second luxury kid’s space has a strong blue and brown colour scheme.

Along one wall, a bank of white storage units has been built into the eaves. Extending from one of these units is a study desk.

An upholstered desk chair makes a comfortable study spot.

The storage at the other side of the room is solid blue. This is matched by cushions on the sofa bed and a neat geometric table.

The floor is a fashionable herringbone design, made even more trendy by the addition of randomly painted panels, picked out here in a solid chestnut hue. A set of wallbars, for suspension training and fitness band exercises, match the natural tone of the floor, as does the rattan basket.

The scheme continues cohesively in the ensuite bathroom.

A unique pegboard style installation creates multiple, changeable, options for hanging face towels and mounting small shelves for toiletries.

The modern towel heater matches the diagonal chestnut design of the floor.

A tall basin stands on a low mounted vanity unit, which incorporates a padded seat.

Kid space number three is a bright white vision with punchy lime green accents found just in one pillow and one knitted pouffe. A couple of soft grey pieces balance out the citrus tone. Everything else in the space is pure ice white, including the cabinets, bed, headboard and bedside table lamp, which is the Atollo lamp.

The bedside tables run in line with the panels of the oversized headboard.

The storage cabinets in this room have been mounted high off the floor, providing a neat stow away area for the only occasionally used knitted pouffes.

Drawers under the bed provide an added area for hiding away belonging.

Hidden lightning warmly illuminates the space beneath the wall mounted cabinets. A bedside pegboard acts as an adjustable display area for treasured items.

Another giant pegboard backs the desk.

This time the board also holds a set of drawers and acts as a headphone stand.

Our fourth luxury kids’ room is a beautiful pink and taupe visual that incorporates cute woodland animal art prints.

Extra pops of colour lift the sweet scheme. This giant wall clock makes a really fun addition.

The single four poster bed looks fit for a modern little princess.

The room has a nice balance of study, rest and play areas.

Lastly, our fifth space is pretty in pink and white.

Three heart shaped stools make a sweet sociable area for tea parties.

Huge cut-out butterflies glide over the ceiling.
