This dynamic restaurant, inspired by a classic Italian trattoria, opened recently in a shopping center in Lviv, Ukraine. Completed by YOD Design Studio, Tartufo Trattoria invites guests to relax and enjoy a taste of authentic Italian fare.
“We decided to move away from the classical perception of Lviv, and used only materials strongly connected to the city’s spirit,” the architects said. “Brass, white marble and oak appear to have a modern twist — without decorative carving, monograms or facets.”
The restaurant space is divided into three parts: the main hall with an open kitchen and bar, a lobby area in the food court, and a seasonal terrace overlooking the city.
Light colors, brass and wood tones create a cozy, welcoming ambiance. Intriguing “spaghetti lamps,” created by designer Andrey Galushka from oak veneer, descend from the high concrete ceiling for an original and playful touch.
“The highlight of the establishment is the Stefano Ferrara wood-burning stove made of stone, in which real Italian pizza is baked,” the architects said. What are your thoughts on the design of this Italian trattoria? [Photography by Andrey Bezuglov]
