Diego Revollo Arquitetura completed the redesign of a contemporary apartment in Alto da Lapa, São Paulo, Brazil. The 1330 square-foot transitional-style home was adapted to the needs of a lawyer and his life partner.

Defined by a marriage of classic and modern details, Apartment 360° unveils surprises at every step. A neutral color palette was chosen for the walls and floor, leaving room for varied furniture and embellishments. “In contemporary designs the basic elements are very important, and these do not change all the time. They are perennial,” the architects said.

Subdued but intentionally selected furniture adorns the space, and the social zone is connected to a large extended balcony, which features extensive views of the city.

“The floor plan was modified by adding half the balcony to the living space without changing the facade of the building,” the architects at Diego Revollo added. “The intimate sector was extended and aligned with the balcony door, so the bedroom could gain an extensive wood panel in American walnut with fixed cloths and large sliding doors.” [Photography by Alain Brugier]
