Svoya Studio completed this creative apartment in Ukraine for a painter and her family. For an artistic household, the project “Shhh…” had to be as unique as its name. So, complex patterns, interesting textures, and fun pops of bright color run throughout the space.
For example, you enter the apartment through a lemon yellow door. From there, black and white hexagonal tiles carry you into an open-concept living space.
The mixed-use room balances muted colors around a blue couch. Many loud colors and prints could be overwhelming in a large space. That said, it does not skip on interesting details. The design team created a focal point in the room by setting reclaimed bricks in a herringbone pattern that quickly draws your eye.
In addition, the team created a subtle separation between the living and dining area with a pattern of exposed beams on the ceiling.
Svoya Studio continued to find creative wall covers and space separators in the two bedrooms and bathrooms. The main bedroom is partitioned from the apartment using a beautiful wall of black framed French doors. The master bath mirrors this touch of elegance in the bedroom with a French-door enclosed shower.
The second bedroom has an adorable chalkboard wall to let children’s creativity run wild. [Photography by Alexander Angelovski, courtesy of Svoya Studio]
