This single family home located in Platja d’Aro, Spain embraces coastal living. 05 AM Arquitectura redefined the initial layout of the residence, in order to adapt it to the contemporary living needs of the clients.
“The original house had a classical distribution of spaces, separated according to their functions; with a large living room, a dining room and a kitchen strictly separated,” the architects said. “On the one hand, a large opening was designed to spatially connect the living room and the new dining room; on the other hand the new open kitchen was positioned near the existing porch overlooking an outdoor terrace.”
As you step inside, you will be greeted by spacious and breezy interiors. The main social area features floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the sea shore. A pale neutral color palette reflects the natural light that fills every corner.
Natural materials like wood and stone add to the coastal design theme. In the living area, graphic patterns capture attention instantly and bring in an artistic vibe. Enjoy the virtual tour and let us know your thoughts on this beach home in Spain! [Photography by Àlex Salcedo]
